King Ahaz and King Hezekiah were father and son in the times of ancient Israel. Yet, Ahaz was an evil king, and he provoked God to wrath. On the other hand, his son, Hezekiah, did not follow in his father’s footsteps but instead sought the Lord with all his heart. His first actions as king were to rebuild the temple his father had desecrated and destroy all the idols his father brought into the land. Hezekiah again brought praise and worship of God to the land. And joy replaced the fear and gloom of the former reign. Using these historic events, Jamie draws out several principles for how you can attain real joy in your life.
